Yes. (Welcome!) I usually have an immediate opening, but even if I don’t, feel free to reach out and we can get started with a phone consultation in the next couple of weeks. After that, if you’re open to waiting for me, I can update you once a month about where you are on the waitlist. This should give you an estimate of how long the wait will be. And of course, if you decide to work with another therapist with an earlier availability, you can let me know.

I am available Wednesdays to Fridays 8am-3pm Pacific Time/10am-5pm Central Time/11am-6pm Eastern Time.
-
I see clients online only.

As of July 2025, I am licensed to practice in Washington and Michigan. This means I can see you while you are physically in these states. Some states allow exceptions and every state is different, so if you plan to travel outside these states or move across states, or if you divide your time between different states, just let me know ahead of time and we can plan accordingly.
Also, I am an active Authorization Holder of The Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) issued by The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) Commission. This is a wordy (but very serious!) way to say that, starting later in 2025, I expect to start seeing clients in many more states, including Illinois.

I will email you to schedule a ~15-minute phone consultation (no charge). For couple therapy, I would need to speak with both you and your partner. I look forward to hearing what brings you to therapy and how you’d like me to support you, and answer any questions you have for me.
-
You get to decide if you’d like to start working with me right away (assuming I have an immediate opening), or take some time to consider. It is totally okay (in fact, advised!) to speak with multiple therapists before deciding who fits you the best.
If/whenever you’re ready to work with me, let me know, I'll send you the required paperwork, and we’ll schedule our first video session.

As of July 2025, my fee is $195 for 55-minute sessions and $250 for 70-minute sessions. Couples usually benefit from longer sessions.

Except with Lyra Health (see below), I am an out-of-network provider. (Most specialists of couple therapy are out-of-network, unfortunately.) This means I do not take insurance, though I am happy to provide superbills (see below), which might offset some costs for you.
-
Superbills are invoices that you can submit to insurance yourself. If your policy has out-of-network benefits, then superbills might help you get a partial reimbursement from your insurance after you meet your deductible. I can't guarantee anything, but I know that some people get back from $70 to over $100 per session. Even if you do not have out-of-network benefits, superbills might help you meet your deductible for the year.
If you'd like to learn more about superbills, I recommend this short article: https://www.goodrx.com/insurance/health-insurance/superbill-therapy

Lyra Health is a benefit some people receive through their employers (or their partner’s or family member’s employer). If you choose to use Lyra benefits, our sessions will be 45 minutes and, depending on the specific employer, you might have zero or low copays.
